Dennis Stauffer, Chief Insight Officer
Dennis delights in helping folks discover powerful insights, insights they can apply in their personal as well as professional lives. He is an internationally recognized thought leader on the behaviors that drive innovation and personal effectiveness.
Dennis’ work includes research into the measurable skills and behaviors that promote innovation, creativity and mental agility. He is the creator of the Stauffer Iterative Thinking Assessment (SITA), a uniquely powerful tool that evaluates the personal and organizational mindsets that enhance or undermine innovation.
Dennis is an Emmy award-winning journalist and former Business Editor. His most recent book, Thinking Clockwise, A Field Guide for the Innovative Leader, received a Fresh Voices book award. It’s in its third U.S. printing and is currently available in five languages.
Based in Minneapolis, Dennis delivers keynotes, seminars and other interventions
for clients throughout the U.S. and abroad.
Dennis is compulsive about exercising and maintains an ambitious training schedule partly so he can enjoy the food he enjoys cooking. He also camps, bikes and canoes…and enjoys traveling for both business and pleasure.
Cathy Perme, Director of Strategic Insights
Cathy’s favorite focus is change. She specializes in defining, initiating and guiding change and engaging leaders to act in the face of those changes. Her areas of expertise and insight include, strategic planning, integrating diverse stakeholders, assessment of troubled organizations and defining the critical path to turn them around.
A business owner herself for over twenty years, Cathy is President of CM Perme and Associates, LLC. Her background includes 15 years of experience in line management and leadership positions with IBM and Minnesota state government before dedicating herself to fulltime consulting. Since then she has worked with hundreds of businesses and organizations in the private, public, and non-profit sectors to address fundamental change in areas of mission, vision, and strategy.
Cathy enjoys hiking, biking, and camping with her family as well as ball-room dancing with her husband. She has been very active with Families with Children from China, and often donates her time and skills as a facilitator to groups in her community.
Jim Tincher, Director of Customer Insights
Jim Tincher cares about customers and what customers care about, perhaps even more than they do. He believes that to create great products and services you need to go beyond the Voice of the Customer to get to The Heart of the Customer™, a methodology he has developed that combines Behavioral Analytics and Hands-on Customer Interaction to produce insights into the real customer needs and preferences you need to know.
Jim is a graduate of Macalester College and has an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. He has led customer-centric innovation projects for such leading companies as Best Buy and UnitedHealth Group.
When he isn’t interacting with customers, Jim serves on the board of Minnesota Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY), a non-profit that helps teens develop leadership and community service skills. He is also married with two teenage kids, and is active in his neighborhood in southwest Minneapolis.
Paul Bergman, Director of Research Insights
Paul is passionate about doing rigorous ground breaking research and is a driving force behind the creation of the Stauffer Iterative Thinking Assessment (SITA).
Paul has done extensive work in psychometrics and statistical analysis, including the design, development and delivery of a variety of customized psychometric assessments. He has consulted and provided training and insights in a number of industries, including health care, banking, target marketing, home mortgage servicing and underground imaging.
Paul is a former Research Fellow and Clinical Research Coordinator for the Adolescent Health Program, Department of Pediatrics, University of Minnesota Medical School. He went on to pioneer the application of intelligent technologies to analytic and decision-making challenges in the health care and financial industries. He is currently President of FullView Solutions, LLC and of Foresight Logic, Inc.
Paul is a long-time volunteer firefighter and often trains his fellow firefighters. He is an avid organic gardener and enjoys cooking with the ingredients he producers. He also enjoys an annual getaway for white water rafting.
